After graduating in Hospitality and Financial Management, Katleen became Belgium’s first female Maître d’hôtel. She held senior HR positions in leading investment firms, and coordinated to set five-star service standards at Belgium’s first luxury hotel. In 2010, Katleen transitioned into entrepreneurship to fully harness her unique ability to blend operational excellence with strategic insight.

Together with het daugther Petra, she sucessfully launched The Glory of Excellence, a high-end hospitality agency. They rapidly expanded into an international network, supporting Michelin-starred chefs and hotel professionals in scaling their impact through consulting, training, and elite culinary business events. Later on, Katleen founded HR Devils, the go-to specialist agency in data-driven Human Resources. 

Katleen’s relentless pursuit of quality – blending tradition with modern vision – and her passion for nurturing talent have positioned her both as a leader in luxury hospitality and a mentor and voice of transformation in the global service industry. The Dubai Business Leaders Edition book honored Katleen as a shifter and a mover in the Dubai business scene. She also serves as a valued liaison between Canadian University Dubai and Hogeschool Gent in Belgium.

Through her podcast, keynote speeches, and bespoke experiences, Katleen continues to inspire a new generation to dream big – and deliver excellence. 

Frederick Verhelst

Frederick began his career as a competitive cyclist, but after stepping away from elite sports, he quickly rose to the top in the business world.
With a natural talent for building and growing businesses, he successfully scaled Belgium-based Accent Construct, a specialized talent placement agency for construction and technical workers, from a single office to a market-leading network of 30 locations in just 4 years. He later launched Smart Solutions, a workforce solutions company, that rapidly grew to over 700 people across Belgium and the Netherlands. 
Through each stage of his career, Frederick has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to growth, turning every opportunity into a thriving success.


Yet, his entrepreneurial spirit knows no bounds. From sports and staffing to real estate and media, his ventures reflect a unique mix of creativity and execution power. He became the owner of Belgian football club RFC Mandel United, launched theBenelux’s largest padel park, and dove into brewing with Waterfields Brewery. His passion for innovation led him to found POTZ, a national dance radio station later acquired by TOPradio, making him co-owner of Belgium’s largest dance music platform. With ventures like VV Real Estate, Rendeer, and a new chapter in Dubai, Frederick continues to prove that vision, passion, and execution can take you anywhere – all while staying grounded in his love for family and football.

In 2023, I was awarded the Outstanding Leadership Award at the Marketing 2.0 Conference which was a nice recognition of the impact I’ve made on the industry so far.


In recent years, I’ve focused on consulting, especially with start-ups — their energy, agility, and bold ambitions are incredibly inspiring. I help them scale fast and craft distinctive brand identities through strategic storytelling and integrated marketing. I’m a true generalist at heart — I thrive on variety and love connecting the dots across disciplines.
